College Humor TV Show

The College Humor show premiered a few hours ago and it wasn't that bad. I was a little unsure about MTV making this show because I was afraid they were going to ruin it, but they didn't. It was funny and I love that Amir peed in the ball pit like a 4 year old. Can't wait for the other episodes in the mini-series!

Michael Phelps Smokes Pot!!!!!

So recently there has been quite a bit of hype over the fact that Michael Phelps was seen smoking a bong. Some people were even saying that he shouldn't be allowed to compete in the 2012 olympics. I happen to think that is beyond stupid. He's 23 years old people, almost everyone smokes pot at the age of 23. Also, everyone says he should act like a good role model for kids, but that's not what he signed up to be. He's a great swimmer who worked very hard, and because of that gained fame by winning eight gold medals at the olympics. He's not a celebrity, he's an athlete competing in a sport, and he does that well. So that's it for my rant, i was just getting really annoyed by how self-righteous people were getting over the whole issue :/

Snuggie

So for a while after seeing the commercial, i had the irrational desire to buy a snuggie. This must prove good advertising on the part of whatever lunatics distribute the snuggie, especially considering its basically a robe worn backwards that costs about $20. Anyway, I've figured out my main attraction to "The Snuggie" would be to buy one just so I could say that I have a snuggie. Because I'm just that cool. Also, I'm pretty sure I would wear it out in public. All the time. Especially when hanging out with the kind of people who are constantly taking pictures of themselves to post on facebook. Because who doesn't want the whole world to see that they are acquainted with someone in possession of a snuggie? When you really think about, the whole idea of a snuggie is kind of genius because of dumbasses like me who would buy one just for the heck of it. If i had $20 to begin with.

I'm not sure if everyone knows about the College Humor show coming to MTV, but if you didn't now you do. Anyway, one of the segments will probably be Jake and Amir, which is already an internet show. If you haven't seen it yet you need to watch it now at www.jakeandamir.com. It's hilarious and they usually come out with a new one every two days, so the fun never ends :)

Another Cinderella Story

So Molly and I are watching Another Cinderella Story and we are completely shocked it wasn't nominated for an Oscar. Seriously what is up? the dancing, music, costumes, and even the plot are amazing. So you have to watch this movie. The evil stepsisters constantly make fun of Mary for not having parents which is what everyone would do to an orphan. If you're looking for drama, excitement, and true emotion watch this movie.

Tarzan the Panda Man

I have a "what if" question for everyone. What if Tarzan had been raised by pandas instead of gorillas? Firstly, I think that would mean he would probably be chinese, and secondly, instead of swinging through trees and fighting jaguars and shit like that, he'd be morbidly obese from eating bamboo and sleeping all the time. I don't think Jane would've been quite as interested :/
Yes, I do think about this kind of stuff (in depth actually). What do you guys think?

Minnesota Sucks

hey i'm taylor i'm gonna be helping out with the blog!
ok so i was born and half-raised in massachusetts, then taken away to live in minnesota.
however, the good ol' MA will always be "home", and so i've thought about reasons to seriously despise where i currently reside.

#1. it is obnoxiously cold here. like, 32 degrees is considered a heat wave. completely and utterly unnecessary.

#2. there is an absense of quality eateries that are abundant in the east coast. examples being dunkin' donuts, roche bros., and so far a have not seen a single panera bread!

#3. flatness. so flat that ski mountains are referred to as hills, but it my opinion, are actually more like speedbumps.

#4. even though this is the "land of 10,000 lakes'' it cannot compare in the slightest to the ocean. you can't get quality seafood from a piece of water with no horizon, and it's pretty impossible to get decent body-surfing waves.

#5. coming from the land of the red sox, patriots, and celtics, i am severly disappointed with the MN teams. the wild are good, but that's it. and when i went to a game, the fans aren't nearly as enthusiastic as bostonians cheering on their celtics or sox or pats.

minnesota sucks, boston rules :)

So I was searching the Internet to find a weird story and i started to crack up when I read this one. A woman in Iowa checked out the Freedom Writer's Diary in April and failed to return the book. She was contacted many times and the police visited her house in September to ask for the book back. She was ARRESTED Thursday night for a book that is valued at $13.95. She was released after posting a $250 bail. This is completely ridiculous would it have killed her to pay the $14 to keep the book?

okay, so i was just re-reading the article about the gay penguins getting married in china (as i said before, i have waaaaaaaaaaayyy too much time on my hands) and i'm feeling pretty good because honestly, who isn't in a good mood when reading about gay penguins. So anyway i finally reached the bottom of the article, my heart all aglow with the awesomeness of the gay penguins, when i see they have a short little list of related articles. I decide to check it out, thinking to find some more heart warming stories about gay penguins finding love in this cold, cruel world against all the odds. instead, to my horror, there is a story about a seal RAPING A PENGUIN. I am not making this up. And to make it even worse THEY HAD PICTURES XP . i'm pretty certain that i wont be able to close my eyes for the next few weeks at the least. anyway, i thought i would share my traumatic experience as a way to cope, as i hear that is the first step to recovery. a little warning to everyone, KNOW WHAT YOU ARE CLICKING ON BEFORE YOU CLICK IT!!! i can only hope to save people from the same fate from which I myself have suffered....

Okay, so this will be the first post for Random Crap We Like To Talk About: Blog Edition. The subject is.................GAY PENGUINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I forget where, but a while ago i heard about a gay penguin couple (Roy and Silo) at the central park zoo. Obviously, it was the most exciting news of the year for me. Anyway, I recently heard that some husband-stealing hussy barged in on their relationship, and now Roy is all alone. That made me sad :( . Turns out though, that there is another gay penguin couple in china. Turns out they wanted to be papa penguins so much that they were stealing eggs from other penguins. So the people at the zoo decided to give the penguins an egg of their own, and they were such good parents, that the penguins were allowed to get married! What makes this even more awesome, is that this means the penguins are the first gay couple to be married in china :) . So anyway, it turns out there are actually A LOT of gay penguins out there, which i think we can all agree makes the world a much better place. Oh yeah, and here is the article about the gay penguins in China!
